Whatever your reason for visiting Newcastle you will be sure of a warm northern welcome.

Home to Newcastle United F.C. this city is passionate about all things football. St James’s Park has been the Club’s base since it was established in 1892. A time when football shorts were longer and the football made of rubber! Today you can take a tour of the ground (booking required) and soak up that all important pitch side view.

Office, service and retail make up the city’s staple employment profile. Voted in the Top 10 of UK nightspots it isn’t all work and no play for the city of Newcastle.

Famous also for the world’s most popular half marathon, The Great North Run. Newcastle sees over 55,000 entrants each September take on the challenge that has had people travel to the north from all over the world.

Whether you arrive at Newcastle Central Station or on the outskirts of the city you will be sure to find the Tyne and Wear Metro the route for getting around the city.
